Evening Meal Menu

Summer 2017


This is a seasonal menu.  As much as possible, we source our

 ingredients locally including using produce from our own gardens.


Starters


Plate of anti-pasti (for one or two to share), including

continental meats, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, fried chorizo, and focaccia bread

Pea and mint soup

(Our ever popular!) Homemade chicken liver, brandy and herb paté with toast and local chutney

*

Asparagus, walnut and Shropshire Blue cheese tarte

*

Rolls of locally smoked organic salmon stuffed with horseradish creme fraiche

Main Courses



Herefordshire sirloin steak with creamed garlic mushrooms,  baked potato wedges and mixed salad (£2 supplement)

Lamb shanks cooked with Moroccan spices, apricots, and almonds with cous cous

*

Aubergine parmigiana, salad and new potatoes

*

Pan-fried trout fillets with lemon butter, fennel and new potato dauphinoise and seasonal vegetables

*

Free range chicken breast wrapped in bacon, with a creamy tarragon and white wine sauce, buttered potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Pudding


Cherry and almond frangipane tarte with vanilla ice-cream

Vanilla pannacotta with summer fruits

*

A selection of home-made ice-creams and sorbets and shortbread

‘Good old!’ sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce

and vanilla ice-cream

Apple and blackcurrant (from the garden) crumble with custard, cream or ice-cream

A local cheese selection with biscuits
